Weston is an upscale suburb of Boston, and one of its least densely populated. With almost 20 percent of its land preserved, Weston has an abundance of open air walking trails and parks. The town has long retained a pastoral ambience, as its land was historically used for grazing cattle. It wasn’t until the 1900s when Weston became a popular place among wealthy businessmen looking for land to build estates on. Weston was attractive for its proximity to Boston, and the beautiful rocky terrain that had made it undesirable for farming. The historic Boston Post road runs through Weston, having been one of the first major roadways in the colonial days, stretching from Boston to Albany, NY.
