Chestnut Hill
Chestnut Hill is an upscale village located partially in the city of Boston, and also jutting into Newton & Brookline. Villages within Massachusetts are not considered to be municipal entities. Named for its rolling hills, Chestnut Hill was once acres of farmland and chestnut trees. Chestnut Hill is now highly regarded for its extravagant residential architecture. It is also home to Boston College, whose main campus is designated as a historic district for its collegiate gothic architecture built in the early 1900s.
