When it comes to looking for an apartment for your whole family, fur kids included, you need to be aware of any condo pet policies, building policies and check to make sure the landlord is even willing to accept pets. These often include:
- Breed Restrictions
- Weight Limits
- Maximum Pet Counts
- Trustee Approval
Many of these are based on the rental building's or condo association's Master Insurance Policy and you likely won't get around that, but when it comes to Trustee Approval, be prepared. For example, the MLS states no pets or no dogs and some agents will take that answer, but a dog person will likely do a bit more digging.
