(Boston, MA.) -- Joe Schutt, a salesperson with Bushari Group Real Estate in Boston has been elected a director of the Greater Boston Association of Realtors (GBAR) for 2012.
As a GBAR director, Schutt will serve as an elected representative of the associations general membership in governing the associations policies, programs and business activities. He will act as an association ambassador promoting REALTOR initiatives and communicating directly with members on behalf of GBAR leadership. This will include appearances at office meetings of local real estate firms and other industry forums to educate agents and brokers on GBAR programs and benefits, assess membership sentiment and convey concerns to association leadership, and inform local Realtors about industry trends, public policy issues, and the organizational activities of the association that are relevant to members business. In this elected position, Schutt also will serve as an association spokesperson and serve as a liaison between GBAR and state legislators through participation in Calls-for-Action on legislative and regulatory issues important to the real estate industry.
A Realtor since 2003, Schutt currently serves as the vice-chair of the GBAR communications committee. In addition, he serves as chair of the state associations technology committee this year. Previously, Schutt chaired the GBAR technology committee in 2011, and has also been a member of the MAR board of directors in recent years.
He has earned his CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), e-Pro and Green professional designations.
