Bostons inaugural Rescue the Runway cocktail reception and runway walk was held August 17, 2014. All proceeds went to support the work of four very deserving Massachusetts based animal rescue organizations: MSPCA-Angell, PAWS New England, Lucky Lab Rescue, and Last Hope K9 Rescue.
Rescue the Runway featured Bostons Finest and will be remembered as one of summertime's best parties. As an event sponsor, Unit Realty Group was in the house and hosts Jennifer Royle (The Boston Herald) and Danielle Murr (WAAF) added just the right mix of fun and spice to raise the bar for animal fundraisers to come.
The evening started with a cocktail reception on the Colonnade Hotel roof-deck where attendees could rub elbows with some of Bostons most VIP and prolific personalities while enjoying delicious hors douvres.
The cocktail reception was followed by a chic and modern runway walk downstairs in the spectacular Colonnade Hotel ballroom, where local celebrities strutted their stuff accompanied by an adoptable pet. Finally the evening concluded with a luxe charity auction. A great time was had by all.
