If you are extra adventurous this weekend, definitely consider trekking on the Snow Moon Beach Hike through the dunes of the crane Wildfire Refuge in Ipswich. The night sky will be transformed, and hopefully illuminated by the glow of the full moon reflected off the snow. February was known by Algonquin tribes as the month of the Snow Moon. As hunting was often difficult during this month, some Native American tribes also called this the Hunger Moon. The hike is 3-4 miles long, so venture if you dare!
