Roslindale Village Grab-and-Go Farmers Market (9am-1:30pm) - Farmers markets remain essential in Massachusetts for healthy produce and food access. It may even be a safer option to shop outside at your local farmers market. Although we are still amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, our market will continue to start in Adams Park on June 6th with new safety guidelines in place. The Roslindale Village Main Street (RVMS) Farmers Market is committed to serving the community and local farmers and businesses. The RVMS Farmers Market will be open provided that we can operate safely and in the best interest of public health, following the City of Bostons Farmers Market Guide and the Boston Public Health Commission.

Together We Care Virtual Gala Benefiting The YMCA Of Greater Boston Hosted By Lenny Clarke (7pm-10pm) - The YMCA of Greater Boston is presenting the Together We Care Virtual Gala on Saturday, June 6 at 7:00 p.m. Attendees are invited to celebrate becoming stronger together as a community, participate in a raffle and bid on auction items, all from the comfort of their own home. The Gala will stream on the YMCAs Facebook Live and benefit the YMCA of Greater Boston COVID-19 response and recovery efforts, supporting youth and families in our community. Tickets to the Virtual Gala are free, but guests are encouraged to pre-register here.

Sunday, June 7th
Standing United: Exploring Healing and Allyship in Times of Pain - Livestream (5pm-6:30pm) - Trauma (due to racism, sexism, homophobia/transphobia, anti-semitism, etc.), whether directly or vicariously experienced, has both physiological and psychological implications. This workshop moves beyond providing information about those implications towards an exploration of how individuals can embark on their own journey towards healing. We will discuss how to use the practices of yoga to observe the impact of trauma on ones narration of life, to exercise agency in the construction of their narrative, and to utilize inherent/aligning skills to reclaim ones grounding. Allies are challenged in this discussion to cultivate a willingness to move past their own sense of shame, guilt, and privilege in order to show up to truth.

Esplanade Virtual 5K Presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts - In this uncertain time, the Esplanade has served as a much needed respite for people to walk, bike, run, and breathe fresh air. It has never been a more valuable resource than it has for the last two months. Now, you can support the park by running in a Virtual 5K hosted by the Esplanade Association! Register for the Esplanade Virtual 5K Presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and your race entry will benefit the ongoing care and upkeep of the Esplanade! Running helps reduce stress and provides a free way to improve cardiovascular fitness and strengthen bones. Whether you are running along the Esplanade, or anywhere else in the world, we hope you'll join our virtual community!

Best,Joe
