The Unveiling Of The Embrace
Friday, January 13th
Join Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s family at the unveiling of the Embrace sculpture. The sculpture was created to commemorate MLK and Coretta Scott King, as well as the civil rights leaders who worked alongside them in Boston. Hank Willis Thomas and MASS Design Group worked together to design the memorial.
REI Ski & Snowboard Waxing
Saturday, January 14th
Head to the ice skating rink at 401 Park for a free ski or snowboard wax by REI Co-op. There will also be ice skating and prizes to win! This event will run from 11 am - 3 pm and REI Co-op will be hosting future events in this location throughout the winter.
Apres Ski Party
Saturday, January 14th
Dress up in your favorite ski clothes and head to High Street Place! This party will benefit the Burton Foundation and there will be fondue, waffles and festive cocktails! You will be able to enjoy a DJ and Warren Miller films as well as giveaways!
Tet In Boston
Sunday, January 15th
Celebrate the Vietnamese Lunar New Year with food, music, art and tradition! This festival will preserve Vietnamese culture and raise money for academic scholarships.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Of Service
Monday, January 16th
Honor MLK with sign making, music and empowering conversation at the Isabel Stewart Gardner museum. Artists and thought leaders will lead conversation about power and freedom. You will be able to share a story or message about what freedom and justice mean to you.
Gather Brunch
Monday, January 16th
