Granite is a great choice for kitchen countertops because it keeps up with wear and tear and looks great! There are a few cleaning tips that you can follow to keep your granite countertops looking shiny and increase their durability.

1. Clean off your countertops. Remove all appliances or decorative items and wipe down the counter tops with a dry sponge to remove any crumbs.
2. With dish soap and warm water, scrub your countertops using a soft sponge in circular motions. If there is any build-up that scrubbing can't remove, use a razor blade to remove it and wipe down the area with your sponge.
3. Disinfect your countertops using a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water. Spray the mixture on the counter tops and wipe them down using a clean dish towel.
4. Add shine to your granite by dipping a soft, clean cloth in a small amount of cooking oil and buffing it into your countertops.
