Give Your Tile A Facelift

Tile grout can get dirty and moldy without us even realizing. Even if you clean your bathroom daily, grout can trap dirt making it appear darker. Deep clean your bathroom tile and kitchen tile and give your space a facelift by scrubbing your grout! If you want to go the extra mile you can regrout your tile yourself to really make it shine!

The best way to clean grout and remove dirt and mold is by scrubbing it with bleach. Create a bleach solution by using one part bleach and four parts water and put it in a spray bottle. Spray down your grout and use a toothbrush to scrub the grout lines. Let the bleach sit for 15 minutes and then rinse down the tiles with warm water. Repeat these steps as necessary until your grout looks new!

If you want to reduce the risk of your tiles fading by using bleach, you can use a baking soda solution using a 1 to 2 ratio of baking soda and water. This should create a paste that you can then scrub into the grout using a toothbrush. This method will be less effective in removing mold, but will be more environmentally friendly.

You can keep your grout clean and mold free by keeping it as dry as possible. Of course bathroom tile is meant to get wet, but by increasing air flow, wiping down your tiles after showering and scrubbing them every few months to avoid mold growth, can keep them looking brand new!
