Here's the latest update of Real Estate Rewind Q1 2016, an online quarterly report produced by the Greater Boston Real Estate Board (GBAR) which summarizes residential real estate market activity in the GBAR jurisdictional area.

Employment figures are positive, wages are going up and employers are hiring. Consumers are holding for the right deal, even in the face of extremely low mortgage rates. As seller and builder confidence increases, we should see more activity in Q2 2016.

Strong buyer activity to start the year pushed closed home sales to highest level in a February since 2004. February median home prices were up from same time last year owing to buyer demand. The decreasing inventory trend continued in February.
